    The Ruth Williams Opera House opened in 1883 as a Masonic Lodge and theatre constructed in Italian architectural design. Originally named the South San Francisco Opera House, it is the cities oldest theatre. Renamed the Bayview Opera House when South San Francisco was incorporated as a city, it withstood the 1906 earthquake…only to suffer near irreparable damage due to civil unrest, National Guard and Police crossfire. Ruth Williams is credited with leading the charge to protect the historic structure from demolition. Designated San Francisco Historic Landmark #7, the Bayview Opera House is listed as a State and National Historic Place.

    This is a beautiful venue historical buildings they have kitchen dressing quarters outdoor this is where I had my beautiful wedding it was awesome
