I went to the Back to the Future symphony performance with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra this past June, and it honestly blew me away. Hearing the movie with a live orchestra gave it so much more energy—you could really feel the music in a way you just can’t from the screen. The CSO played flawlessly, and the big moments gave me goosebumps.
The sound in Symphony Center was fantastic. Everything was clear, balanced, and full without ever being overwhelming. Plus, the seating was super comfortable, and no matter where you sat you could hear and see everything perfectly. It made the whole night that much better.
From start to finish, it was such a fun experience—between the nostalgia of the film, the incredible musicianship, and the great atmosphere of the hall. If you ever get the chance to see a movie concert with the CSO, go for it. You won’t regret it.

We attended the Back to the Future symphony performance here in June, and it was incredible. Whoever had the genius idea to pair iconic films with a live symphony deserves an award.
The performance drew in a crowd of all ages and backgrounds, proving that gone are the days of stuffy, high-society audiences dominating symphony halls. The energy was electric, the musicians were outstanding, and the experience far exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend.
