Beautiful park with nice trails. I love going to the gazebo area where one can enjoy stunning views of the pond and the Canadian geese grazing in it. The park is especially beautiful during the fall with all of the vibrant leaf colors.

The crossings provides a clean pleasant natural environment for many thousands of residents year-round.
I've been enjoying this park since it first opened around 2002 when they were still finishing the buildings and planting hundreds of small trees.
It's February will you had another good snow storm last night. Today I observed them plowing out the walkways so all of the winter walkers can still do their daily walks.
There are so many good things you can say about this park, all the activities, the different seasons the birds… it goes on and on.

The Crossing is a nice 130-acre recreational park located in Colonie, NY. The park offers nearly 7 miles of walking/hiking/biking paths that are paved. The centerpiece of the park is a scenic pond complete with geysers.
Most of the trails are relatively flat and easy. The trails wind through different parts of the park and connect to roads in the surrounding neighborhoods. Trail maps can be found online and the trails are well labeled throughout the park. The park's trails provide a nice escape into nature.
The most popular spot in the park is most likely the pond with geysers. Here you will find park benches to sit and enjoy the area. Ducks, geese, and fish can be seen in and around the pond.
Near the pond you will find nice buildings and pavilions.
The buildings are often used for conferences and are sometimes open to the public. Restrooms can also be found in this area. On Saturdays, the park holds one of the area's largest farmer's markets. Near the back of the park is a swimming pool with a two story waterslide.
Overall, the park offers many different activities for everyone. In a local poll this park was voted the best in the area. It is easy to see why when coming here.
