I booked an evening for my band to play at the Arthouse. Marla and company were just absolutely wonderful to work with. She was very accommodating and quick to respond to any and all requests. That and the space is just beautiful.

We couldn’t be more thrilled with our experience at The Arthouse for our wedding ceremony. The space is the perfect mix of old-world charm and modern elegance. The cozy fireplace, historical details, and artistic vibe felt so authentic to its North Minneapolis location, while also having sleek, modern touches that make the space feel elevated. The lighting was absolutely gorgeous, and every part of the venue felt like it was made for photography. It was perfect for our ceremony, giving us enough space to greet and mingle with guests, but also areas to get ready and share quiet, special moments before everything began.

Working with Marla was a total dream. We reached out to her only a few weeks before our wedding when we realized an outdoor ceremony might not work out, and she made everything so seamless. Even after the weather turned out to be perfect, we decided to stick with The Arthouse because it just felt just right for our day. Marla took care of all the logistics, helping us arrange for chairs and creating a beautiful setup for the ceremony and photos. From the very first meeting, we knew we were in good hands.

The space really set the tone for the whole day. It felt so “us” and gave off the cozy, intimate vibe we wanted to share with our guests. Everyone couldn’t stop raving about how stunning it was and how much it reflected us as a couple. The mix of vintage and modern furniture, the lighting, and all the thoughtful details really blew everyone away.

The location was another huge plus—it couldn’t have been more convenient. Our reception was just down the road in Northeast Minneapolis, and the short drive gave our guests the chance to soak in the gorgeous autumn foliage. The on-site parking made things super easy for guests and vendors alike, and Marla was a pro at coordinating everything for setup and teardown.

For us, the fireplace was the heart of the space, and it turned out to be the most beautiful focal point for our ceremony. Our florist created a stunning autumnal installation that made it even more magical. We also loved the furniture they provided—it added so much character—and having dedicated spaces for getting ready and photos was such a game-changer. Every room and corner felt so well thought out, and the lighting throughout made all our photos look incredible.

We couldn’t recommend The Arthouse enough. It was such a special place to get married, and we’re already brainstorming our next celebration there—hopefully something where we can take advantage of the catering kitchen and the stunning bar setup!

I recently got to explore The Art House and photograph a curated dinner shoot. I was so impressed with the historic charm and abundant natural light! Our shoot began after dark, so I’m certainly awaiting my next opportunity to enjoy the large windows. Tall ceilings are great for assisting in decor or light sets. The owner Marla is a gem and will surely go above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome here – a great space that Minneapolis is lucky to have.
