Went here the week after Christmas to visit their Christmas market event. Walk-in guests were allowed in their garden for a fee of 500PHP per head (they allow senior citizen discount but kids are paid in full price). They had short performances on stage and an open air cinema as well. There were mini rides for kids to enjoy and had some refreshments and food stalls for outsiders to buy. The lightshow was gorgeous, and the entire garden was easily picture worthy.

Parking spaces are a bit hit and miss as it is crowded during these times, so we opted to take a taxi going here. I think there's now a bus service loop within Camp John Hay, and there's a stop that's walking distance from this hotel.

Definitely a good place to come with family and kids.
This hotel was also formerly named The Manors.

4 of uf booked a suite & got 1 queen bed & 2 low lying short box trundles from under the couch which is not a sofabed as advertised.

Kitchen table is full of ants. Room waw dark & muggy. TV & coffee maker broken.

But food at the restaurant was so yummy and buffet so worth it. Restaurant Manager Nadine was friendly and very helpful.

Great Ambience, But Service and Quality Have Declined

We’ve been staying at The Manor annually for around seven years now, and it’s disappointing to witness the decline in service, food quality, and room amenities.

Upon booking, I clearly noted our preference for a higher-floor room since we enjoy the garden view, honestly, it’s one of the main reasons we choose to stay here. However, during check-in, we were given key cards to a ground-floor room. I informed the front desk staff, who seemed surprised and even asked if I had truly indicated the preference. He then told us that all higher-floor rooms were fully booked and that we would possibly be moved the next day. This was frustrating, especially since the preference was stated in advance.

We also had merienda at Le Chef’s bar corner, where it took quite a while for the servers to approach us. The staff also seemed unmotivated, with some noticeably showing annoyance while taking orders, something that really shouldn’t happen in hospitality.

Breakfast buffet selections have also decreased, making the price harder to justify compared to previous years.

Another concern is the hot water. The supply disappears after 11 PM, and taking a cold shower in 17°C Baguio weather, especially for senior citizens, is extremely uncomfortable.

That said, there are still things we appreciate. The Christmas decorations this year are the nicest we’ve seen so far, truly festive and beautifully done. The entire Camp John Hay area also feels very safe, with guards consistently present. It’s one of the few places where you can comfortably jog, stroll, and unwind surrounded by fresh air and pine trees.

Overall, while the surroundings remain relaxing and secure, the decline in service and amenities was disappointing, and we’re now reconsidering staying here again.
