Marigny Opera House is hands down one of the most photogenic venues in New Orleans. The light in that space is unreal — soft, glowy, and just magic at the right time of day.
The old cathedral architecture, faded walls, and open space give everything a sense of calm and history. It doesn’t need much to feel beautiful. Whether the ceremony is simple or fully decked out, it still feels honest and cinematic.

Choosing the Marigny Opera House for our ceremony was one of the best choices we made when planning our wedding! The venue is stunning, and it truly felt even more magical in person than in photos. We loved its unique feel—a beautiful space with a church-like aesthetic that wasn’t overly religious, yet filled with a rich history as “the church of the arts.” Bill and his team were very responsive and went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect for our big day. From setting up the chairs and a mic for our officiant to arranging a private area for signing our marriage license, the team went above and beyond. If you want a timeless and romantic space for your wedding, we highly recommend Marigny Opera House!
