Please save this beautiful castle! A big part of Utah history. I my self viewed this magnificent structure. I loved it as a child in the 70s and love it today. Please keep this building in our community in our life for our children!!

I passed by in the winter extremely beautiful after all this time! Sad to see money put into preventing explorers instead of renovations to the building. Would die to see it become an event center or something else in my lifetime!❤
8/10 Rich history, beautiful exterior(minus the steel plating and broken windows) Suprised the tower is still standing! Hoping to go inside one day when it's in better condition.
P.S wouldn't reccomend exploring heard from a few friends that the floors are Paper thin. Even the exterior is slowly decaying, Stay safe explorers!

One of the great and evocative historical venues of Salt Lake County. This old paper mill was established by the Deseret News in 1883. It has been long abandoned, but its setting and architectural beauty call out for it to be saved for some worthy purpose before it deteriorates beyond restoration. Unfortunately, it now stands condemned and there is a fine to be levied on anyone who trespasses on the property. Yet it's still very much worth a stop in the adjacent parking lot for a long moment of appreciation. See it before someone with blue prints and a Caterpillar decides the property should become a housing development.
