A great experience and an amazing trip to modern art that starts with the most pleasant stuff, who welcomes you with a big smile and is ready to assist you, answer all your questions and gives great tips to make the visit more pleasant. Thumps up for them! Regarding the gallery, the space is really modern and totally suitable for exhibiting such art. All big names are represented there with at least one artwork, so you really get the whole picture and for free! Loved the Modigliani hall, seeing so many of his works in one place was breathtaking… There was only one thing that I didn’t like. During our visit a school was also attending the venue. Kids were extremely loud and there was no control upon them, even though the stuff tried to make them behave properly. This took a little from the magic, but in general the experience was great!

Less crowded than West building, easier to navigate. Picasso is here.
Basement floor has cafeteria with nice selection of salad, pizza, hamburger, etc..
Also the basement is connected to the West part.

This place is amazing and holds a lot of what’s considered modern and contemporary art from the late 19th century to the present day. So many iconic paintings are here. Andy Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe, Pablo Picasso, and many others.

The rooftop is also cool, and as a bonus, you’ll see excellent views of the District. It made me want to play Al Jarreau’s Roof Garden. I need to see what the views look like at night!

The west building has the older classics in it.
