The Parkville Bar is Back on Top! 🥧⭐
I’m so pleased to write this update. After a period where we felt the standards at The Parkville had unfortunately slipped—particularly with their steak pie dinner—I am thrilled to report that they are officially back to their best.
We decided to give them another go recently, and the difference was night and day. It’s clear that the kitchen has refocused on the quality and consistency that made them a local staple.
The Highlights:
• The Steak Pie: This was the true test for us. The meat was tender, the gravy was rich and savory and the pastry was perfectly crisp. Veg done perfect also chips and mash great again It felt like the "fantastic" version we remember from years ago.
• Atmosphere: As always, the staff were welcoming, but there seemed to be a renewed energy in the service this time around.
Everything was spot on.
It’s wonderful to see a local business listen to feedback (or simply push for excellence) and return to such high standards. If you we’re hesitant about returning after a mediocre experience lately, take this as your sign to go back.
The Parkville is back, and that steak pie is a must-order!

Members of my family and myself all met up at Parkville for a meal on Saturday evening. I found the restaurant to be a very comfortable place with a relaxed atmosphere, the menu was varied and had something for everyone's taste. The food was very nice and plentiful and the service from the staff was brilliant, they were attentive and friendly. After our meall we sat talking for quite a while and the staff didn't mind. The whole experience was brilliant and I would definitely go back again. The only thing I found was that the car park was full and I had to park on the street, but this was expected as it was a Saturday evening. Would definitely recommend

Lovely meal with friends on Monday. Service second to none. Food lovely and a good varied menu something for everyone. My only gripe is disabled parking not great but that doesn’t take away from first class service and good food
