My dear friend and I happened to stop by the gallery on a whim and had the most lovely experience. Both owners were present (Michael and Lisa) and couldn’t have been more welcoming! The space itself is stunning. The building has fabulous vibes, gorgeous light, great bones and every inch feels lovingly cared for. Their current collection is vast and beautifully curated, from vibrant abstracts to the most mesmerizing opaque landscapes to deeply layered figures. I was struck by the care and creativity with which the works are shown and how generous the space is. I’m personally familiar with the amount of energy it takes to steward a space of this size, and I applaud the owners for making this gallery space available to all. I’m new to the neighborhood and will visit frequently.

I went here years ago during monthly River North gallery events. I had not otherwise stopped in, even though I'd walked and driven by numerous times over the past 20 years. I finally went in last week after I read about the gallery's history and was totally blown away by the art. It is some of the finest art I've seen. Every piece has a depth, sensitivity, and perceptiveness that I usually don't encounter in modern art. I kept thinking that if I had a large house or company, I would definitely buy several pieces. The Chicago art I saw nailed the vibe of this area, and the abstract pieces were dynamic and exhilarating. Each piece is layered and impactful. The large pieces appear simple but are complex. They don't seem quickly made but are thoughtful and created with emotionality. I'm surprised people haven't scooped up all those pieces. And it's rare to see so much modern art created with "older" techniques and materials, such as layers of oil paint. I see lots of hasty acrylic creations nowadays. If you love art, stop in to be inspired.

Michael and Lisa were an absolute pleasure. They welcomed us into their amazing art space with smiles and stories even minutes before the gallery closing time. Incredible art of many styles throughout the space. The space itself is breathtaking – I hope they reopen it for events again in the future. Enjoying our dinner at Lou Malnatis’ just down the street at their recommendation! Will come back!
