If you’ve ever set foot inside the Salt Palace Convention Center, you know — this place isn’t just big, it’s a GIANT. And like any giant, it can be intimidating… until you realize what really happens inside those walls. What happens here isn’t just event planning — it’s pure, living, breathing transformation!

I’ve had the privilege of working alongside the incredible teams who make this magic happen — from banquets and culinary to housekeeping and event setup — and let me tell you, these people operate at a world-class level. Their energy, passion, and commitment to excellence are nothing short of legendary.

Wendy, Ana, and the entire Sodexo Live team bring a level of dedication that turns ordinary gatherings into unforgettable experiences. Their attention to detail and pursuit of greatness elevate every event — like FAN-X, which was already epic, but became truly unforgettable thanks to their flawless execution and heart-driven service.

And then there’s Dirk — the unsung hero who keeps the Salt Palace running 24/7. His housekeeping and operations teams are the backbone of the guest experience. While others sleep, they’re in motion — cleaning, prepping, perfecting — ensuring every guest walks into a space that says, “Welcome, we’ve been waiting for you.” That’s leadership in action.

This isn’t just a building. It’s a testament to teamwork, passion, and purpose. It’s a living, breathing example of what happens when people care deeply about what they do and the people they do it for.

So if you’re looking for a venue where your event can go from great to extraordinary, where the teams don’t just show up but rise up, the Salt Palace Convention Center isn’t just a choice — it’s a destination.

💥 This place doesn’t just host events — it creates experiences that move people, inspire leaders, and ignite possibilities. 💥

We were at Salt Palace for 2025 GJNC. I really like this venue as it’s next to the hotel and easy in and out. What’s also nice is their food services vendors. More food options as oppose to the traditional pizza, hot dogs and burgers.

In July 2025, we visited the Salt Palace Convention Center in Downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. We were attending the NACUFS 2025 National Convention. NACUFS stands for National Association of College & University Food Services. The Salt Palace has many windows and an abundance of natural sunlight. It is well-maintained, clean, and spacious. The Salt Palace will adequately host the 2025 NACUFS National Convention. The Salt Palace is a well-designed building and a valuable asset for Salt Lake City.
