The long horn walk is 2 times a day 11:30 & 4. It is a tradition to keep the olden days alive in today's modern fast paced world. Neat little town with a lot of little shops. Some places are closed on Sundays. A great place to visit if you have never been.

Visiting the Fort Worth Stockyards feels like stepping back in time to the Old West. The atmosphere is authentic, lively, and full of history. Walking down the brick-paved streets surrounded by western shops, saloons, and live music makes the experience unforgettable.

The highlight is definitely the twice-daily cattle drive, where real Texas longhorns parade through the street — something you won’t see anywhere else. The Stockyards Championship Rodeo is another must, full of excitement, skill, and energy.

There’s plenty for everyone: great restaurants serving mouthwatering Texas BBQ and steaks, live country music, museums, shops, and even opportunities to ride horses. At night, the area comes alive with dance halls and bars, giving it a fun western nightlife vibe.

Yes, it can be a bit touristy, but that’s part of the charm. The Stockyards capture the cowboy spirit of Texas in a way that’s both entertaining and authentic. Whether you’re visiting from out of state or you’re a local, this is a must-see destination in Fort Worth.

The Fort Worth Stockyards is truly one of the most iconic spots in Texas. It perfectly captures the old Western spirit with its historic buildings, live cattle drives, rodeo shows, and rustic charm. Walking down the brick-paved streets feels like stepping back in time, yet the area is full of lively restaurants, bars, and shops that make it exciting for everyone.
The longhorn cattle drive twice a day is a must-see — short but very authentic. The rodeo shows are high energy and give you a taste of true cowboy culture. There’s also great live country music at night, so the fun continues well past sunset.
Whether you’re into history, food, nightlife, or just want a unique Texas experience, the Stockyards has something for you. It’s touristy, yes, but in the best way possible.
Highly recommend spending at least half a day here to really soak it in.
