We stayed at the Thompson San Antonio Riverwalk for two nights to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. They surprised us with a bottle of champagne and a sweet note to congratulate us on our anniversary!
We loved our stay here.
The ladies at the front desk, especially Natalie, welcomed us warmly and were very helpful.
We stayed in the Serenity Suite so had the beautiful tub to soak in and loved the lovely scented products they had from D. S. Durga. The brought us a complimentary mini fridge so we could put our leftovers in it.
The room was so quiet we didn’t hear anything from outside or inside the hotel and when we closed the room darkening curtains it was completely dark.
Yes there is charges for daily valet and yes they do charge you if you use any products or eat, drink anything on their honor bar but they clearly tell you there are charges.
There is a driver for the hotel that will drop you off within 3 miles of the hotel but will not pick you up. The regular driver for the hotel is Connie and she was very sweet, knowledgeable and helpful as was one of the valets that drove us on Connie’s off day, Christopher. We didn’t have one bad experience with any of the staff at the hotel. We look forward to spending time here again in the near future. Thank you all for making our anniversary vacation special.

The Thompson hotel was exquisite. It is a very elegant hotel positioned on the Riverwalk, convinient for walking around town with access to fun festivals, shopping centers, and some good restaurants and bars.
The pool was cool which made it very enjoyable in the Texas heat. The cabanas were nice to utilize, and they had great music playing overhead to make a relaxing vibe.
The housekeeping service was excellent, valet team was generous with door openings to the hotel and vehicles, and desk staff always provided greetings and farewells, despite the constant flux of people checking in and out. We hope to return on our next trip around!

Melva in spa help me out so much by taking me on a tour of some of the facilities. She was very kind and professional. She easily could have blew me off because I neither was a resident or staying a night just looking at the facilities. Not only did she show me the different areas that she explained all the ins and outs of the different perks of the hotel and condo owners. I definitely appreciate the customer service she was able to provide.
