We recently attended our first show at Vega — a burlesque production called Fable — which reimagines the stories of beloved childhood characters, taking them "off script" and into real life.

From the moment you walk through the door into the performance space (a dance studio), you're greeted by friendly faces and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. There's a drinks and concessions stand open before the show and during intermission; I noticed they offered food as well, although I didn’t check it out closely.

The performers and dancers were absolutely incredible, and the energy from the audience was electric, with engagement happening both onstage and in the aisles. There are flashing lights throughout the show (something to keep in mind for those sensitive to them), but overall, it’s a fantastic venue — one I’m definitely looking forward to visiting again.

I had a great experience learning under the instructors, they bring a great energy and pace for beginners wanting to learn and have fun.

I have taken 3 Burly Q classes here with Evie with zero dance experience and they have not been at all what I expected!

I am a highly anxious person who thought that taking a class to feel sexy and empowered would be good for me. I was not expecting such a fast paced class full of incredible talent and real no bullsh*t teaching style.

I absolutely love it, and feel like it’s what I’ve been missing in this city. The intensity of the class inspires me to work harder and practice more than if I had just jumped into something that made me look/feel awesome right away. There wouldn’t be much to learn if that was the case.

I also love the way Evie handles the class and her assertive energy. 3 classes flailing around and yet I’m already acting more assertive in my every day life.

10/10, love the studio so far.
