    My daughter had her baby shower at The Point, and it was a wonderful time. The venue was perfect! It was roomy, clean, and had an abundance of natural light. The staff were amazing and worked hard to ensure everyone was taken care of and having a great time. The Point is definitely the perfect venue for any gathering…..large or small.

    We hosted our father's celebration of life dinner here in July. We are all from out of town but Elliott arranged a virtual tour so we could see the facility from afar. Elliott was very responsive to all of our many questions. They had staff on site when the De La Vina Catering staff arrived, so the set up went very smoothly and timely. We felt like we were in great hands!

    The parking situation in July is definitely challenging but it has nothing to do with The Point. There were many activities going on during the day (kid camp, type of things) but Elliott was spot on when she predicted the parking lot would open up well before our event started. A few of us were there early to set up which posed a small parking problem but if you know in advance, you can get there early enough, unload your stuff at the venue curb and then park your car.

    They had all of the modern electronic needs for our slide show and speeches.

    It is a classic San Diego Mission Bay beach vibe venue that can be dressed up or as natural as you want. For our purposes, the natural beachy environment they created was perfect. We really liked the patio area too – the kids had their own party going on out there!

    We had our wedding reception at The Point last weekend and it was beautiful! We had a group of 90 with many who like to dance, and we felt like it was a perfect space for our group. Guests loved the proximity to the beach, open lawn spaces, and back patio for additional pictures. The parking can be tight if other events are happening nearby but guests mostly carpooled and took Lyfts so we were okay. The venue staff is very communicative and accommodating so we were confident trusting them with our day. It was also great that we could have outside vendors for our specific vision. Would definitely recommend and use them again for future gatherings!
