My first time staying @Richmond, Va Westin was a top tier experience. The beds were comfortable, room clean. The housekeeper on the sixth floor was so sweet I had to give her a tip. Jose Ochoa has the best hospitality and professionalism I’ve experienced dealing with a manager. He went over and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. And the hotel smells so good I can’t get the smell out of my nose. I HIGHLY recommend The Westin Richmond🇺🇸

    I’m 100% staying here again.
I’m a Capital One employee who always stays at the Watermark which happened to be full this trip. Let me tell you, my opinions are changing!
The Westin does not have complimentary parking (unlike Watermark) but it does have a robust marketplace of things you may have forgotten for “low for a hotel” prices. The staff is incredibly friendly and they have great amenities that are accessible for guests.
The hotel front desk even brought my door dash order up for me (I think she could tell I was tired) and I got a complimentary welcome bag with a water bottle, chips and granola bar plus two free additional bottled waters which I honestly really needed as I forgot to get some for my meds.
It’s also quieter and more low key than the watermark but it still has a really nice bar and a restaurant that delivers to your room (you can order via an app). Also, parking is initiative and works through a QR key and you can actually self-service (or Valet) your car.

I stayed at The Westin during a recent business trip. The guest room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Housekeeping did an excellent job throughout my stay, and the bedding and comforters were outstanding. From a room and comfort standpoint, I have no complaints.

However, the service at the bar and restaurant fell short of expectations. I waited over 15 minutes to be seated, despite it being empty, and it appeared that staff were unsure who was responsible for assisting me. Once my meal arrived, it was served hot and was flavorful, but the chicken’s presentation was unappealing and detracted from the overall dining experience.

The following morning, I stopped by for coffee and again experienced a long wait before being attended to. It seems there may be staffing or communication challenges within the restaurant and bar team.

The front desk service at check-in was standard efficient but unremarkable.

Overall, my stay was comfortable and the room accommodations were excellent, but the dining and bar service did not align with the high standards typically associated with The Westin brand.
