I did the coffee bean roasting class with a friend who had received the class as a Mother's Day Present. Gary's passion for coffee and roasting coffee beans was inspirational. I really did not have any preconceptions, but the setting, the lovely company of the 3 other ladies who were in the class and the very interesting process of how you go about roasting coffee beans was an excellent experience. I also enjoyed going out to hear about the Asian Honey Bees and the rescue operations for them. Thank you Gary for an absolutely wonderful experience.

I had an absolutely wonderful time at the coffee roasting experience at The Sundowner!
As someone who starts every day with a cup of coffee, I’ve always wanted to understand more about what goes into my morning ritual. This hands-on session was the perfect way to dive in.
Our host, Gary, was exceptional—knowledgeable, genuinely passionate, and incredibly engaging. He asked thoughtful questions that drew everyone into the conversation, creating an active and lively group dynamic. His warm, welcoming personality made the entire 1.5-hour session feel relaxed, comfortable, and almost like being at home.
The hands-on aspect was a real eye-opener. I roast and grind raw beans myself over an open fire, experiment with different brewing methods, and discover how roasting levels transform flavors. For someone who drinks coffee daily but knew little about the process, it was truly transformative—I now appreciate and savor every sip so much more.
Highly recommend this unique experience to any coffee lover or anyone looking for something fresh and memorable. It’s Singapore’s only live coffee roasting workshop, and it’s well worth it!

Such a heartwarming experience! It’s rare to find a place that welcomes furkids so warmly while keeping the humans totally entertained. We loved the social aspect, shoutout to the two other lovely couples who were with us! Our pizza maker made the whole process seamless and super engaging. It’s hands-on, and definitely more fun than just sitting on a dog-cruise. A must-do for social pups and their people! 🍕🐶❤️
