A must go place to visit for tourists and even locals. To find out more about our Malay heritage in S’pore. Enjoy the culture and arts when you are here. Sit at the big courtyard or around the herbs and spice garden and feel the breeze blowing along your face. And when u look up , u will see the mixture of sky scrappers along side the rich traditional architecture around. A little imagination through times century back and now. Walk around outside the area to enjoy the many food establishments and arts cum souvenirs shops to bring back home.

It's a beautiful house that once was the palace. The gardens are perfectly manicured but offer little shade. There is a small visitor center (free) and a museum inside, but for this you need to buy tickets and to enter, take off your shoes. A fountain in front is star-shaped.

If you are in the Kampong Glam area and ha e a few hours to spend/ or want to escape the heat, then this is the place to be. The Centre is very relaxed and has interesting information on the history of Malaysian in a Singapore. The staff were very friendly and did help to explain some of the exhibitions. Although the centre is worth a visit I think it could do more to welcome tourists and maybe to give visitors a free or cheap audio guide because some of the exhibits were a bit vague. There was a guided tour available at 1pm for English- but we missed it.
