Listing your venue on VenueKonnex costs nothing. No setup fee, no monthly subscription, no “premium placement” upsell. We only make money the same day you do — when a lead we sent actually books your space.

That’s the whole model. Here’s exactly how it works, and why we structured it this way.

What it costs to list: $0

Claiming and publishing a listing takes about five minutes — venue name, photos, capacity, pricing or “get quote,” and you’re live in our directory next to venues in your market. No credit card required at signup. No trial period that flips to a paid plan later. If your listing never sends you a single lead, you’ve paid us nothing and lost nothing.

Compare that to the usual venue-marketing math: a few hundred dollars a month for a directory listing, plus whatever you’re spending on ads to show up in search. Most of that spend happens whether or not it produces a booking. Ours doesn’t.

The only time we get paid

We take a small referral fee — and only on bookings that actually close, sourced from a lead we sent you. You keep the large majority of every booking. There’s no fee on inquiries, no fee on tours, no fee on quotes you send that don’t convert. If nothing books, nothing changes hands.

You also control your own pricing. Some venues build our fee into their rate card; others absorb it and keep pricing exactly where it was before they listed with us. Either way, you’re never asked to discount your normal rate to work with VenueKonnex.

Proof: we’ve walked away from the fee when it didn’t make sense

Earlier this month we sourced a corporate booking worth roughly $35,000–$45,000 for The Milwaukee Public Market. The venue didn’t have the infrastructure to absorb a referral fee on a booking that size without the math getting uncomfortable for a small operator — so we made the introduction, stepped back, and took nothing. The client still booked the space. Read the full story here. The same client’s catering came through Bartolotta Catering & Events at Discovery World, which did carry our standard fee — because on that booking, it made sense for everyone.

We’re not telling you this because it’s how every deal works — most bookings do carry our standard fee, and that’s what funds the leads in the first place. We’re telling you because it shows the fee isn’t the point. The booking is. If taking it would kill the deal, we don’t take it.

Why “pay only when you get paid” actually matters

Most venue-marketing spend is a bet: you pay up front and hope it produces bookings. If it doesn’t, you’re out the money regardless. Our model flips that — the incentive is entirely aligned. We only get paid by sending you leads that turn into real, confirmed events. A listing that sits quiet costs you nothing but the five minutes it took to claim it.

That’s also why we push hard on complete listings — real pricing or a clear “get quote” policy, at least ten photos, a full description. Pabst Mansion in Milwaukee is a good example of what a complete listing looks like, and it’s one reason we’ve been able to feature it in multiple roundups. Incomplete listings get skipped, which means fewer leads, which means less reason for either of us to bother. A better listing is the one lever you control that changes how often we can send you work.

Claim your listing in five minutes

If your venue already has a seed listing on VenueKonnex — and thousands do, pulled in automatically as we build out coverage in your market — claiming it is free and takes about five minutes: confirm your details, add photos, set your pricing or quote policy, and you’re live. Most venues we reach out to never finish this step, which means their listing sits unclaimed while a competitor down the street picks up the leads instead.

Not sure if you already have a listing, or ready to claim yours? Start here — or reach out directly through our contact page and we’ll walk you through it.

FAQ: How VenueKonnex charges venues

Does it cost anything to list my venue?
No. Listing, claiming, and staying listed on VenueKonnex is free, with no subscription or setup fee.

When does VenueKonnex actually get paid?
Only when a lead we sent you turns into a confirmed, closed booking. We take a small referral fee on that booking — nothing on inquiries, tours, or quotes that don’t convert.

Do I have to change my prices to work with VenueKonnex?
No. You set your own pricing. Some venues build our fee into their rate; others keep pricing exactly as-is.

What if I get a lead and it doesn’t book?
You owe nothing. The fee only applies to bookings that actually close.

How long does it take to claim my listing?
About five minutes if your venue already has a seed listing in our system, which most venues in active markets already do.
