I spent about a year and a half working at Workshop Houston and I will forever cherish those memories. It’s an amazing place for kids to come learn some new skills and really discover their passion. I taught the “Beat Shop” which is a music production class combined with a lot of personal development and mentoring.
We went on a lot of cool field trips that the kids loved, hosted awesome events with great special guests and always had lots of activities for the students and parents to participate in.
If your looking for a place to send your kids so they can really discover themselves and make life long friendships I recommend WSH.

Awesome nonprofit organization providing after school programs for disadvantaged students.
Their bike shop was the original focus, but now they have expanded to science workshops, arts and crafts, and even a DJ lab!
Please consider them when you have learning materials or old computers for their various needs, that you may have.

This organization is a Godsend. Zack and the founders are awesome! So is Bass…and others that have since gone on…Ja-jo…Tasha…Ginger and Steve … So many opportunities for kids in the inner city. The real talent comes here. DO NOT call those kids " disadvantaged" …cause they are not. Please…pity doesn't do anyone any good abd it can't buy anything! If anything…'call them "underserved" but "gifted"
