I'm currently studying for my master's at the University of Derby and I couldn't be happier with my experience here! The campus is set in beautiful surroundings and has a great variety of food options, including Starbucks, Subway, and other coffee shop and eateries. But what really makes the university stand out is its diverse teaching staff – my lecturers come from all over the world, which provides a unique and global perspective on my studies. I've learned so much from hearing about their experiences and cultural backgrounds. Overall, I highly recommend the University of Derby!

Derby University is an awesome place to study. The facilities are modern and well maintained, the campuses are welcoming and easy to navigate, and the range of courses is excellent.

The staff are knowledgeable, approachable, and always supportive.

Overall, a fantastic university experience.

My initial 5 star review reflected my early experience, which was overwhelmingly positive. The facilities remain modern and well maintained, academic staff are knowledgeable and supportive, and student services, including parts of the library team (Develop@Derby), have been consistently helpful.

However, over time, my experience with the DSA process and the implementation of reasonable adjustments has been more challenging.

Communication, coordination and timeliness around support provision have not always felt consistent. For students relying on structured support, this can significantly impact the overall experience.

Derby continues to offer a strong academic environment, but improvements in how DSA-related adjustments are managed would strengthen its commitment to accessibility.
