Very well organized museum with a lot of memorabilia from the Gordon Highlanders. Tour guide was a young man who was able to relate the exhibits nicely. Staff were warm and friendly. Excellent stop if you are interested in military history from Napoleon through to today. A bit out of the way but reachable via the #11 bus from Union Street. Just beware that the buses don't run on time.

The Gordon Highlanders Museum is an absolutely extraordinary experience that left me deeply impressed from start to finish. Every exhibit is thoughtfully curated, vividly bringing to life the rich history and valiant spirit of the Gordon Highlanders regiment. I was particularly amazed by the outdoor trench replicas — they provide a powerful, immersive glimpse into the harsh realities faced by soldiers, making history feel incredibly tangible and real.

Beyond the indoor displays, the beautifully maintained surrounding gardens create a peaceful and reflective atmosphere that perfectly complements the museum’s powerful storytelling. The blend of engaging exhibits and serene outdoor spaces makes this museum a must-visit for anyone interested in military history or Scottish heritage. Truly, it’s a place where history breathes and honors those who served with extraordinary dedication.
