This is great place! We went to watch Rob Auton, I had no idea this place was here but my father in law mentioned it's rich and interesting history and I was interested to see what it would be like. Considering its long history, its in very good and clean condition. The room is spacious but feels intimate as it's quite narrow. We sat in the circle and I wasn't cramped in which I was pleasantly surprised about (I'm 6' 2"). Staff were all very friendly and courteous. I'd deffo make a point of going back here for more shows. Right in the centre of Leeds too so lots to do before and after a show

Absolutely stunning theatre, tucked away down a quiet alley but easy to find. Age hasn't dulled the interior's shine. Staff are friendly, the atmosphere is very welcoming, and reasonably priced range of drinks at the little booth at the back. Great production – set design, lighting and sound were superb. Went with a friend to a live podcast and we had a blast!

This was my first ever visit to the city varieties music hall and it won't be my last.
First of all I would like to thank the two ushers who made my night comfortable, as I suffer with a couple of medical issues.
My wife and I came to watch the soul night. The group was more than fantastic, they were amazing. They got the whole crowd involved, which by the way was a total sell out, singing all the old classics from the soul era.
The venue was amazing. You could feel the nostalgia and history of this place which is actually celebrating 160 year birthday 🎂 this month.
I can't wait to return, I love this place and the amazing entertainment.
More people need this sort nostalgia in their lives.
