- 5.0/5:
I had a fantastic stay at Premier Inn Cumberland. From the moment I arrived, the service was outstanding. Nikki at reception deserves a special mention — she was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. Her professionalism and friendliness really stood out and made me feel at home straight away.

I stayed here for two nights just after Christmas (27th and 28th December). I found my stay to be quite enjoyable overall.
The room:
I stayed in a room upstairs which was easy to find. It was a standard Premier Inn room and it was clean and well presented on my arrival. The WiFi connection was rather poor but everything else was good.
The service:
The receptionist who was at the desk when we arrived was friendly.
Since the restaurant where breakfast is served was closed during my stay, there was free breakfast (drinks, pastries and fruit) offered in the reception area which I thought was a decent compromise even if I didn't take advantage of it personally (although someone else in my family did.)
The hotel is in a good location with various restaurants and shops (large Asda and the shopping centres) nearby.

Although the hotel is under some major reconstruction, access was fine. Receptionist Lucy was a great welcome after an arduous day. The public spaces ie; corridors and stairwells are in need of a face-lift, tidy up. The room was clean warm and comfortable. Altogether it was decent place to stay.
