Membership at the Y is worthwhile & affordable. The staff is incredibly friendly. The exercise space/facility is smaller compared to some other gyms, however, there is rarely a line or wait to use the equipment except at the busiest times.

There are a variety of classes for all ability levels–my favorites are HIIT & Strength Train by Krista as well as Cycle & Strength by Cameron. Jenny, Brooke, Allie, & Lynn are also great instructors. I'm sure the other instructors are great too, but these are just the classes that I usually attend.

The Y also has a lot of other community programs/involvement beyond what the gym offers. I wish there was a pool, but otherwise, can't complain!

Been a member for years. It is a nice facility but poor planning and leadership are apparent. Been open about 8 years and the only renovation was removing a wall and rearranging. They talk about plans for a pool and gym space like every Y in America but not having progress or communicated a plan to make it happen.
The hours are still horrible on the weekends, claiming to be neighborly with the event space next door, but there are 2 parking lots, both quite massive.
To me it just seems like everyone thought a city like Bozeman needs a Y and made that happen but didn’t plan or execute anything that distinguishes the Y from a local gym.

The cost is still appropriate for the area, the staff is friendly, and other members are respectful. They are doing great with their youth programs and do offer great classes and programs for the members.

We want a YMCA not another gym. Please, the community wants this to happen. Communicate and plan and we can have the best Y in Montana.

Called ahead to ask about the heavy bag. They said "we have one come in." Got there; "oh someone booked the room the bag is in, come back in an hour." Come back pay $15 for day pass, and the room is in use again! Go to lift in a (mediocre at best) weight room, come back to the 'heavy bag' which is in fact a poorly mounted (jimmy rigged) child's bag. Start warming up, increase power to 90% and the entire wall mount on which the bag is held starts to rip off. Needless to say the workout was a wash. I will not come back to this facility again. Also the garbage can is right next to the fountain and literally smelled like a dead body. Waste of money and time. Not to mention lacklustre and unprofessional staff. Definitely not worth $15.
