The oysters are banging for being that far from the source… they took awhile to show up to fill my sodas so I just reached over the bar and filled it myself after waiting ✋️what seem like 5 years to just see an employee.. the manager or maybe just some random guy ran over on a power trip and just asked can I help you like 500 times… idk it was weird but not aggressive just wierd i think his feelings were hurt he seemed to be choking up like he might cry it was adorable.. however overall 6 stars if I could do it .. because the food is great and it's super clean and everything is well maintained and the staff and all the customers have huge nice inviting giant heads and faces.. and I mean the good kind of big faces.. like eyeballs the size of beach balls that just look innocent and cute and not threatening and huge I mean HUGE absolutely enormous noses on literally every single person in there and the big overall kind of huge nose not the long pointy type witch/Pinocchio typr.. the huge triangle shaped kind the ones you can trust to babysit your grandma with demithia.. great food great people.. huge faces and heads.. love it will definitely be back and refill my own sodas again and give that random guy crazy eyes once more and maybe a pacifier.. bring your money though good stuff isn't low cost in this life.. keep your heads huge peace ✌️ 🙏

Found this little gem when searching for place to eat not too close to Liberty U. Great location next to train tracks and James River.
Atmosphere was fantastic – old train depot furnished with church pews, vintage quilts and signs. A model wooden train engine adorns a wall. Beautiful turn of the century bar as you enter.
We both order blackened chicken Philly and they did not disappoint.
Since we were on a road trip north, didn't test any beer but you can be sure we will be back to do that.

I came here cold, tired, and wasting away from hunger and I was embraced by the warm, sweet goodness of chicken tenders and Belgian waffles. Seriously, Jesus would eat these waffles. They're perfectly crispy and ever so slightly sweet. Besides the chicken and waffles, they have an extensive menu of options which I can only assume are just as excellent. They also have a selection of delicious iced sweet teas and free refills! Of course I rounded out my meal with their chocolate flourless cake with raspberry sauce and oh. My. Gosh. Let me tell you, I used to eat this cake as a child and it was PERFECT. It's incredibly rich and dense so I don't recommend getting it after putting away nearly a whole plate of chicken and waffles but luckily I had some family to help me. Along with the food, I was incredibly impressed with the service. Our servers Amari and Evie were nothing but friendly, helpful, pleasant and efficient. Their service complety elevated my experience. Overall, I left very satisfied (especially my stomach) and will definitely recommend! 11/10 stars.
P. S. Picture included is my meal after I ate half of it (I couldn't wait)
EDIT: I'm coming back a couple hours later and I have to reiterate how GOOD these waffles are. Truly, even after sitting in a takeout box all afternoon and eating it cold, they're still crispy, still airy, still incredible
