I had never been to Albuquerque before visiting a longtime friend on a road trip. While looking for things to do, we stumbled across this place. I had no idea there were wineries in Albuquerque. Admittedly, wineries have popped up everywhere these days. The definition of what constitutes a winery has a certain elasticity. This place is your traditional experience. From the gated entrance to the rows of vines, the sandy gravel trails and the old-world charm of the buildings, Casa Rondena is a delightful oasis in the desert. THIS IS A WINERY.

The property is charming. The pictures show all the words I could use. The service is a delight, eager to help walk ya through tastings and suggestions. I favor reds, but trying the others was a fun change and part of the full-bodied winery experience. The selection is robust, can be paired with an assortment of tapas options in cases along walls. We got a couple of glasses, bottles, tapas for later, along with extra bottles for presents. The gift shop is cute. But, do yourself a favor and walk straight back through the main hall and grab a patch of grass or chair grouping because the shade and the babbling water… feeling relaxed just thinking about it. I'm ready for another road trip just for that sweet diversion!

My husband and I absolutely love this place, even members! It's beautiful and has amazing wine!!! You can even bring in your own charcuterie!
Another beautiful evening with the hubbie at our winery! We both enjoyed a small charcuterie plate and a bottle of the white sparkling wine. Always beyond a please!!!
