We had a very enjoyable staff Christmas dinner at The Bookshop last month; it was absolutely the best restaurant we could have chosen.

We all had a turkey roast dinner which was delightful. The portion sizes were very generous, making it great value for money. The turkey was flavourful and not dry at all, and the accompaniments were delicious.

We chose different desserts, but everyone was happy with their choice and enjoyed their meal throughly. I, personally, had the clementine cheesecake which was lovely. It made for the perfect palette cleanser whilst being packed with flavour.

The interior decor itself was beautiful. I loved having a look at the substantial array of bookshelves and quaint display of pages hanging down from the ceiling. It was really a one of a kind, creative design, and this made our experience all the better.

The staff were kind and attentive. Throughout the booking process they were very helpful, amenable to adjustments, and happy to answer any queries I had in a clear and professional manner.

Myself and my team had a wonderful festive celebration here, and I would absolutely recommend giving the Bookshop a visit to anyone, regardless of the time of year.

The Sunday lunch here is probably the best I’ve tasted anywhere in the world!
We’ve been twice in the last few months (we live elsewhere) and both times it was outstanding!

Gorgeous food as ever and lovely atmosphere. Drinks feel a little expensive – to pay nearly £5 for a cucumber spritz [no alcoholic soda water] presented in can feels too much.

Will always recommend though and will always return.
