If your looking for a thorough review from a beginners perspective read here:
As someone who has no experience in the cigar “community” I could not have chose a more welcoming, friendly, and informative place to learn more. I was promptly greeted and assisted in selecting a cigar as well receiving my drink order. (The staff was extremely helpful in answering questions and very patient).
I received a welcomed crash course on various types of cigars, styles of cutting, the lighting process, and a touch on cigar etiquette. One of my favorite things that was explained to me , which Alchemy does a great job reinforcing is that if it works for you – do it! There’s a lot of personal preference involved with cigars and Alchemy is a great place to figure yours out.
More on staff: While I have no doubt the entire staff is excellent I specifically interacted with Charles & Jasmine who are both bartenders at this establishment. Again extremely helpful, very friendly, and even went out of their way to introduce me to other regulars at the lounge.
There aren’t many bars where you can say you’ve chatted with the owners, yet on my first evening I met the Husband & Wife duo who were just as welcoming as their staff. They were down to earth, extremely kind and have done an excellent job creating a warm, cozy, and rustic atmosphere for anyone to enjoy, seasoned cigar smoker, beginner or not at all.
The lounge from my understanding has two main areas, the front section which includes bar seating, and a library styled seating room to the right as you walk in. If you’re interested in the cigars, the staff will walk you to the humidor and let you browse or assist in making a selection. They even go as far as cutting and lighting the cigar for you, so don’t feel the need to purchase a lighter or cutter to come try it out!
Highly recommend. Will be back.
