Beautiful building of course. So much history it's mind blowing. We had a super nice, very knowledgeable tour guide who took us most everywhere we could go. Thankfully there are elevators! Saw a couple legistlators and lots of lobbyists. They have a gift shop, too.

🏛️ Idaho State Capitol – Peaceful, Beautiful & Worth a Stop!
I only visited the outside part of the Capitol since it was already closed, but it was totally worth it. 🌤️
The grounds are beautifully maintained — green lawns, trees, benches to sit, and impressive statues all around. 🌿🪑
Everything is within walking distance of downtown restaurants and bars 🍽️🍹
A calm, relaxing place to unwind and take great photos at sunset. 📷☀️

What a wonderful State Capitol. We have our 50 State Capitol challenge. This is number 39! It’s open 7 days per week and we arrived before sunrise and had a wonderful tour. Lots to explore. Out of session times (Jan-March) one needs a guided tour to see the House and Senate Chambers. Love to see the replica Liberty Bell on display at the foot of the steps.
