Our Story
Jackie’s journey from Hondo, Texas to California brought more than just great food; it brought tradition. Paying homage to her family and their time-honored recipes, Jackie serves up customer favorites like Uncle Greg’s Ribs, JP’s Chicken & Waffles, and Laverne’s Sweet Potato Pie—each dish rooted in the flavors of the South.

Our Journey
What began in 1998 as a small catering venture for family and churches evolved into something greater. In 2013, we launched our bakery, Noonie Cakes, specializing in Southern-style cupcakes. By 2018, Jackie’s Place proudly opened its doors in Japantown. After a devastating fire in 2020, we’re thrilled to announce that our minor setback only set us up for a major comeback!
