Always an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. From summertime activities (boat tours on the river, architectural walking tours, ghost tours) to winter time carriage rides under the lit up trees…. the Riverwalk is full of people and adventures. An assortment of restaurants and treats for every budget too. Sunset offers a great silhouette of the USS North Carolina and bridge across the water.
During the holidays the Riverwalk is decorated in lights and hosts a large tree and menorah.

I had the opportunity to go to a Tedeschi Trucks Band concert in Wilmington and I did the walk on the river walk. It was so pretty and it was such a beautiful day. I love the houseboats on the water. Those are really cool. I would love to live in one of those.

The views along the Cape Fear River are the kind you keep reaching for your camera to capture, with boats drifting by and the skyline of historic Wilmington just over your shoulder. As day turns to evening, the boardwalk lights, public art, and river reflections give the whole place a cinematic feel that makes even a casual walk feel like the closing scene of a great movie.
