I visited this museum 2 days ago. The admission was free, and when I arrived just before 3 p.m, a guide kindly explained the history of the museum. They even printed a newspaper with my name on it!
The guide also explained that horsehair was mixed into the walls of the rooms, and some ghost stories, things I would never have guessed on my own. I also learned about traditional printing techniques, making the visit both educational and enjoyable. I recommend this place

I really enjoyed visiting Mackenzie House. It’s a cozy little museum tucked away in downtown Toronto, and it honestly feels like stepping back in time. The guides were super friendly and passionate, they shared stories about William Lyon Mackenzie and life in 19th-century Toronto that made everything come alive.
The old printing press demo was a highlight for me, and the house itself is beautifully preserved. It’s not a big place, but it’s full of charm and history. Definitely worth a visit if you love discovering hidden historical spots in the city.
