We visited on a Sunday evening without a booking and were lucky to be seated within minutes. All the staff were very attentive and friendly. We opted for a mix of the £19 two course menu and the main menu. The Ivy burger and fries were very good, with the fries being some of best we have had in a long time. The sweet potato and spinach curry from the two course menu was tasty and the crispy lotus root was a nice touch. We opted for desserts rather than starters. The sticky toffee pudding came with a cloche of vanilla wood smoke, which just smelled amazing. The Ivy Chocolate Bomb was very nice, with the popping candy being a fun surprise. The non-alcoholic cocktails menu was varied, and we particularly enjoyed the Dove 42. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back!

After a recommendation from our hotel staff at the St Giles we tried our luck getting a table on a busy Saturday night. Fortunately we were seated upon arrival.

The atmosphere was great, not too loud and not so quiet you could hear a pin drop. The staff were attentive and cleverly uniformed to identify roles. The restaurant itself was fantastic, beautifully decorated and laid out.

We each had a starter, main and desert (unfort we didn't take any photos of the dessert). For starters we had salt and pepper squid and crispy duck, bother were excellent. For main, fillet with a red wine and peppercorn sauce. Again both were excellent and cooked to perfection as were the sauces. Dessert included a Creme Brulee and Chocolate Bomb. In this case the chocolate was a little lacking but that is a definite attempt to nitpick. The food was absolutely faultless.

For drinks we had Old Fashioned and dark and stormy cocktails. Can't go wrong there!

Our waitress, Megan, was attentive, polite and had a great sense of humour.

Would absolutely dine again, very impressed.

We celebrated my birthday at this restaurant, and it was such a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. They even offered the cake for free as a birthday gift from the restaurant such a thoughtful gesture that made the evening extra special. Highly recommended
