Thunder Bay's 55 Plus Centre is a strong community of our elder friends that get together for connection and activities. There is a plethora of programs for every season and everyone. 2 gymnasium areas host fitness, yoga, and dance classes. There's a workshop available for the creative imagination. ✨️ Other spaces include card room, billiards room, library, and restaurant/Cafe. Volunteer opportunities are available for young and older. The staff I met at the 55 Plus Centre are wonderful and jovial with big hearts and purposeful duty. Summer may offer a chance for hiking, gardening and landscaping or yard work. I am in full support for joining this fantastic community of smiling folk moving into the free living age of retirement and comfort. 👍 👍

My wife attends "Moving with Parkinsons" classes twice a week and really enjoys them. While there is a large parking lot, handicapped spots are often full but there is usually room for a driver to drop off a client who has mobility issues near a door. There are many socially interactive activities available, such as cribbage, euchre, exercise classes, and more. They also have a Cafe that serves lunches, although I haven't tried them.

    A wonderful community asset.

Loved my 'to go' order on St. Patrick's day. The Irish stew was good. The soda bread was huge and yummy. The mushy peas were a pleasant surprise. Decorated and iced sugar cookies for dessert–thank you ladies!
