  • 5.0/5:

I really appreciate this hotel and location. I like the views of the ports, particularly at loading/unloading. Walkable to many restaurants in a nice picturesque downtown.
Great service from the friendly staff, clean rooms, nice restaurant attached to the hotel if you're not inclined to go local (which I strongly encourage!)

Great view but rooms need updating and towels are rough and should be replaced. The lady at front desk was not very friendly and I had to ask for my 2 bottles of water and never recognized we were gold hilton honors members. The guy at front desk was very nice and made up for his coworker's attitude.

The location was great. The staff was very nice, but the rooms are a disappointment. The room had a musty kind of sewer smell and desperately needed maintenance. The vinyl headboard had a huge part of the material missing, the bathroom had lots of little dark spots where the grout should have been and on the wallpaper around the vents. We asked at the desk when we left for dinner, if they had air freshener and they said they would send someone up to the room. We have no idea if they did. It had the same odor when we came back in for the night. We travel frequently and have been disappointed in the last few Hilton and Hampton properties we stayed at. The managers need to look at the rooms they are renting out and have repairs made. We are at a Marriott tonight and plan on doing so for the rest of our trip. Hotel rooms are not inexpensive, so you expect a reasonable standard of maintenance and cleanliness.
