What a great break we had in this hotel. Staff are lovely always cheerful helpful. Food was good. Views from hotel stunning. We definitely be coming back…..

Lovely hotel but at breakfast they give you 1 square of butter for a rack of toast and when you ask for more they give you 1..it was a pain asking all the time also the same with sweetners you have to ask for them they should come as standard on the table with the sugar sachets

Enjoyed 5 days here last week. Hotel in good position on top south Esplanade allowing access to lovely gardens and walks. The town is also a 10 minute walk.
The meals were adequate with plenty of choice and served piping hot which is commendable.
We upgraded our room for a nominal cost and had a very large room with a superb view of the sea and harbour.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly.
Work was being done on the 3rd floor to upgrade which reduced the available parking places in the small car park. The workers did not impact on our break. Although the bathroom was a little dated, it was kept spotless together with our room each day. This was a good value for money holiday in a Daish's hotel we had not visited before but would happily return to.
We joined the optional day trip to Whitby and had an excellent day out.
