Absolute stunning view. Weather was gorgeous which made it all better. Nice walk around the beach, very neat too and clean. Would recommend.

15th Century castle built by the Sinclair familty, Earls of Caithness. On an imposing bluff above Sandhead bèach. Obscured from view on the landward side by modern housing. The castle is accessible from Ravenscraig Park.
I've never been able to get access into the castle as it has always been closed when I visit. Usually at weekends.
There is free parking for cars at Ravenscraig park and also a childrens playground. You may also take a rewarding walk to nearby Dysart with its harbour and Harbour Masters House Cafe along the Fife Coastal Path. The final short leg into Dysart is along an interesting high level walkway with railings for safety. There is also free parking at Dysart. The Fife Coastal Path continues to East and West Wemyss.
