As one of the moms on our hockey team, I wanted to share our experience at the Dev Centre in Cornwall. It’s about 20 minutes from the Long Sault Arena and roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes from Ottawa, and the amenities made it a great pick. There’s a big gym, basketball courts, and a pool with a diving board, plus a sauna. Parking is included and rates very reasonable.

We enjoyed a buffet dinner at the Propeller Restaurant (they also do buffet breakfast), and the Jet Set Pub was great for snacks. The cafés with Starbucks coffee and pastries. Aeran and Mackenzie at the front desk were super helpful, and Sarah in reservations made planning easy.

We rented a shared team space called the Pilots’ Lounge, which was fantastic. It includes two bedrooms separated from the main open space, so if someone on the team wanted to stay there with family, they could have private space. The rest of it is like a big game room, family room, dining area, and kitchen.

It’s on a very large property, while we were there with a team, I could see them hosting conferences and other visitors without anyone feeling on top of each other. I’d recommend it for both teams and families. There is also a full spa that I hope to check out next time!

One of the most memorable hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The aviation-inspired history throughout the property is incredible, with powerful images of accomplished women pilots, Canadian aviation milestones, and nostalgic tributes to Amelia Earhart. The bar feels like a classic aviation-era pub, and the restaurant adds to the overall experience. Best of all, the price was unbelievably affordable for such a unique and inspiring stay. Highly recommended.

We weren’t expecting such an incredible experience from such an affordable hotel, but it exceeded our expectations! Our newly renovated room was beautiful, and top-notch clean. The staff was above-and-beyond friendly – even late at night and while we were getting breakfast. They serve real healthy food that tastes amazing. Beautiful gardens and surroundings. 10/10 we’ll be recommending DEV Hotel to all our family!
