One of the silver lining in the chaotic City of Angels and in the oppressive humid heat of Pampanga. I deeply appreciate the fact that they're open Mondays till Sundays from 9am to 6pm (except holidays). If money is no issue, this is how I want to spend most of my time here on earth — inside the library, just browsing and absorbing anything my soul wants to.

One cannot deny that this newly renovated library, linaanan talaga ng budget ng LGU so kudos to that. Apart from free wifi, there is also a good number of desktop computers people can use for internet browsing. Speed is around 300 Mbps mind you.

At the 2nd floor, there's also the reading center, chess library, center for Kapampangan studies, teen information center that offers really good services such as free instrument tutorials like guitar (pls refer to the photos), and a whole lot more actually. The latter is one of the lesser known LGU services that I hope a lot would come to know and avail since it would be such a waste not to.

I also appreciate, apart from the air conditioning, that good interior design was also factored in wc makes it truly conducive to reading and learning. I really hope that with this move, sooner or later, the city will develop a reading culture, esp among our youth, that will be known throughout the nation.

So far, only fiction books can be borrowed and be taken home. They also accept book donations. Would love to be back here and make it one of my third spaces 💙

PS: Some of the posted photos are nearby areas of interest you can explore by foot. Best to do it around sunset for a nicer weather, and also to witness how the sun's rays amplify Angeles City's charm.

It's not everyday that one gets to see a library (and government information center) as clean, comfortable, organize, with well mannered staff, as this one. I just hope they would improve their system especially with the cataloguing of their books. And I hope they get more, updated, and diverse materials. Donors, please donate more materials. This is not a typical library you see in the province.

Building aesthetics are good. That's it.
    IT section/computers are working.

    -OLD BOOK COLLECTIONS
Very disappointed when we got to the shelves and saw your books. Old titles, outdated books.
A friend shared that you rejected their donation offer because "you had no more room". Clearly you can make room for fresh and relevant titles.

    -PERSONNEL
I understand this is still owned by the government. But please, wag kayo basta nalang mag lagay ng kung sino-sinong job order/personnel. Be intentional in placing people who share passion for books and learning. Please don't treat this as another government office na walang passion, compassion, and people skills ang mga personnel. The goal is to make learning appealing and accessible, especially to the younger generation.
**To add: Operating hours are listed up to 7pm, pero sinabihan kami hanggang 6pm lang. Really??? Either update your hours or your personnel..

    -ATTIRE RESTRICTION
Really? Bawal shorts pero mga empleyado nag yoyosi sa may labas? 🧐
Sure, people should be decent. But really, we draw the line with shorts?

If you are really serious about reviving a library culture in Angeles, please do better. You've already spent taxpayers' money on this, make it worthwhile.

And for the love of God, don't use this as a tool for election campaigning.
