The best park in Region 1 for me. It’s so simple yet elegant. The open spaces makes the structures stands out giving out hierarchy as it deserves.

Sitting right in front of the provincial Capitol of Northern Ilocos is Aurora park. It's really a big park but it does have a monument made of brick as well as a fountain. They usually hold events here and during public holidays like the town fiesta or the Christmas season, this area becomes a food market.

It has one of the simpler park designs I've been to. But, it is clean and has a lot of empanadas and some other native Ilocano dishes sold. Pretty delicious. I think this might be the heart of not just Laoag City but of the whole Ilocos Norte because in front of this is the Ilocos Norte Capitol. Pretty accessible to the public transportation too.
