We had plans to meet friends over near the beaches recently, so we headed over that way a little early to hang out at Beach Bowl for a little while because the upstairs patio is just so rad. I saw a sign on the way up saying they have brunch on Saturday & Sundays from 10am to 2pm. I'm not sure if that's a new thing but it says "Now Serving", so I'm guessing so?

We decided to wait for a lane and I'm SO glad we did! We haven't been bowling in forever but we had a blast. The vibe at Beach Bowl is so rad. As soon as we got on our lane, they were blasting Blame It On The Boogie. Not long after that, You Rock My World starting playing so y'all know we felt right at home since I'm a huge fan of Michael Jackson.

Not long after we got going our server (Marie) showed up and I have to assume she's in the running for worlds most delightful person because she was just so nice.

As far as bowling goes, maybe I'm super old but II had no idea there have been such fun innovations in ways to play. We did bowl a few "regular" games but we also got to play Angry Birds. There's no need to go into who won but let's just say that I included a photo for anyone curious…

Side note: Marie (our delightful server) told us about some great week day deals. Bowling is $3 a game on Tuesday and drinks are half price on Wednesdays. A version of this review originally appeared in the Jacksonville Fun, Eats & Drinks Facebook group.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars – Absolutely Fantastic Night!

We had our Sonny’s BBQ Girvin location Christmas party at Beach Bowl last night, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was fun, festive, and welcoming. The lanes were clean, the music was great, and the whole place had an awesome energy that kept everyone smiling.

A HUGE shoutout to our server, Clay, who was nothing short of magnificent. He was on top of everything the entire night—friendly, fast, and genuinely attentive. Clay made sure our group had everything we needed, and he handled our big, lively crowd like an absolute pro. His service alone deserves 5 stars! As a manager, I would be THRILLED to have someone like him on my roster 👏

Thank you, Beach Bowl, for giving our team such a memorable and smooth holiday celebration. We’ll definitely be back next year! 🎄🎳

I have been driving by the new Beach Bowl and everytime I say I need to go check it out. Today my husband and I finally stopped in for lunch. We had lunch on the top deck and it was great. We had the fried pickles and burger, both were great! The staff were all pleasant and on the ball.

They have a VIP room upstairs with lanes and an area for a party. The outside top bar has many tables, a huge bar, ceiling heaters, many TVs and a great view. They also have an elevator to accommodate limitations with climbing stairs. We will be back, fun place.
