During our family trip from India to the UK, we had the chance to visit Bournemouth University, and it turned out to be a surprisingly delightful experience — even though I’m not a student or applicant. I had heard good things about the campus and wanted to explore it in person while we were in the area.
The university is set in a peaceful part of Bournemouth, surrounded by greenery and modern architecture. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming — ideal for learning and personal growth. Even as a visitor, we felt comfortable walking around and enjoying the beautiful open spaces.
The campus is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. We saw students from many different countries, which gives the university a very global and inclusive feel. My wife and 5-year-old son also enjoyed the visit — there were places to sit, relax, and take in the surroundings.

My experience as a international student has been amazing.
I arrived in September, I am staying at University accommodation. Bournemouth University is wonderful and it was very engaging since the day we arrived, we had international Brunch on the first Sunday before the induction. Then first week was about documentation. Second week was full of activities, there was free bus tour over the whole city from university and in the first week the bus services were free for all the students of BU to roam around the city. We were taken to multiple locations to visit in the second week like Durdle door, etc. for free from uni. Reslife BU is the event organisers of university and Campus living villages accommodations. We have events every monday and Tuesday. Everyday is exciting and full of opportunities to meet all global students. There are international students all over the world in Bournemouth University. We also have cultural quiz contest every month to welcome all the students and have opportunities to know other global students.
