Went to Broughty Castle museum for the first time since i was a child, and have to say that i was very impressed. Free entry on certain days and a guide takes you underground and gives details about the castle's history. Then you explore the upper levels in your own time. A nice gift shop, very friendly staff and lots of artifacts to see and read about. Lovely paintings in the gallery, and the observation area gives a panoramic view of the river Tay. There is also a play area for kids to play too. I would recommend visiting.

Unfortunately we visited out of season so couldn’t get inside to see. Still, we enjoyed the walk even if it was freezing cold 😳😂

Excellent venue to visit with impressive views. Beware the steps up the tower, you will get a workout. Really worth a visit
