Very good, excellent!
This special little lovely hotel in Bayawan, because it deserves the highest rating.
Too many hotels in Philippines have leaking plumbing, broken things, and it looks like the management or owners simply let the place break down and don't do any maintenance, they only want to make money without spending anything, and it shows in the staff attitude.
But Casa Antonio in Bayawan is a jewel. They have few rooms, but they are making new ones and if they are as good as the existing ones, this will be the best option in Bayawan to stay. All the rooms have a good modern design, and they don't lack tables or chairs like many hotels, they are clean and beautiful, with aircon, large mirrors, nice lamps for a comfortable light and ambiance. The beds are provided with extra pillows, and the bathroom is complete with a water heater that really works, and toilet that flush perfectly, this is all very unusual in hotels in Philippines. There is a hair dryer like in a 5 star hotel, only lacking a small electric kettle to make tea, but I am sure they will give me one if I ask, because they are very attentive and ready to help the guests. Some rooms have super big size tv, I almost never watch tv but this time my wife and I enjoyed because of the great picture quality! It really shows that here the management really cares to do an excellent job! The girls and staff are super friendly and in good mood, there is a nice restaurant attached to the hotel that is even popular with local people to come here for the good food. At first I have to change to another room because of a neigbours's dog barking, but it's not any fault of the hotel, and that's very normal in Philippines, very hard to find a quiet place. But here I could sleep very well after we changed to another room! They also were happy to cook for us a special dish with a fresh bamboo that my wife bought in the local market, and tinapas (sardines), it's called Tambo. I think it's healthy to eat this fresh bamboo, and delicious. They also have very fresh food here, and many drinks to relax in the evening. The location is excellent, very near the long boulevard and beachfront, you can walk to the beach anytime, day or night, and it's very safe. Also not far from the bus terminal, and they also provide parking space. If the new rooms they are making have split type aircon instead of window type, and they install double sided glass in the windows facing the street, which I stronly suggest, then they will be top accommodation in Bayawan and one of the best is all of Negros Island! Thank you Casa Antonio, we will have a good memories from here!
