I'm a student here, this is my first semester and so far I love it. Beautiful campus. Everyone's really nice, and does alot for the students here. I got a bag of free food cause kinda needed it. They go out of there way here to keep u in good standing

This is my second year at Chattanooga State and I love it. The professors absolutely care about your success and offer plenty of office hours to come by. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, especially when it comes to complicated topics like financial aid. Other students seem just as committed to the work as everyone else. The campus is clean and very pleasant to be in.
The only downside is the parking. It is worth removing a star. It is a nightmare at the beginning of the semester. Unless you wake up early and arrive around eight or nine in the morning, you will struggle to find a parking spot, which is kind of awful when you don't have class for three more hours.
Otherwise, I cannot imagine a better community college here. There are lots of events every month that students can participate in. The cafeteria food is pretty decent and offers a large selection. The library allows food and drink so that you can ear while you work or study. Little things like this make Chatt State super nice.
Also, since someone mentioned the online classes, they will keep you very busy. The instructors expect more work than an actual lecture class, but it is manageable as long as you keep track of your time and when certain things are due.

If I could give this institution a negative review, I most certainly would. Like many others, my experience at this school was beyond ridiculous. First and foremost, the lack of communication between departments is evident. I had to go back and forth between two individuals because of their confusion regarding my concerns. On top of that, another individual decided to get very short and snippy when I was communicating a genuine concern to them. With all the terrible service accounted for, they choose to admit and enroll students for terms and programs requiring an entire year to wait to take your first classes. However, when you try to register and see class availability, they will still refuse to register you because of a supposed “waitlist” of students who still have not bothered to register for those courses, leaving space for other students they do not care to consider. Ironically, you can still see that there will be room for you to register, a waitlist isn't present, and they will continue denying your entry. Keep in mind that this led up to the registration deadline, as I could still see that there was room for me to attend my required classes. The staff and many I have encountered here are rude, inconsiderate, and incapable of communicating properly with any student, let alone trying to do so. This school has been nothing short of a disappointment and a complete waste of my time. Instead of applying, be sure to save your money.
