Chichester Cathedral is a beautiful building and setting.
There are hosts around the cathedral pointing out information of note, though the short guide shows all you need to know. I had an interesting chat about the bell tower and guided tours, including an exhibition on the tapestry. ⛪️
The highlights for me were the tapestry, the treasury, and the Tudor paintings. The Chagall window is interesting too. Intriguing details include the Holst memorial and the Arundel Tomb that Philip Larkin wrote about. 🖼️
I would have liked to see the gardens given more time. 🌿

Beautiful and warm cathedral, with super kind staff and the entrance is done on bases of volunteer contributions. Visited on a Saturday afternoon, but I’m sure it would be amazing to go during the services, especially with that incredible heating system.

Free to visit Cathedral with an suggested donation.
The Cathedral is celebrating 950 year anniversary. We went to the evening light show and would recommend going if they hold another. This recurred booking and a separate payment.
We visited the next day to look at the Cathedral in normal conditions. There was a free classical concert, so it's worth checking for these special events.
The Ditchling Cross was there and I found this a powerful reminder of the sacrifice of earlier generations.
There is also a cafe. The Archbishops Garden is pleasant and worth a visit, it is a short walk away.
