Check the online calendar at the City of Ames, Parks & Rec web site to see activities and open gym times–hours vary by season and by day. Six basketball hoops, but too much court overlap for more than 2 games at one time. Locker rooms, rest rooms, and weight room available. Weight room requires a training session before first use.

Ames Community Center is a treasure. It offers a variety of weekly group exercise classes, many of which will challenge those who are very fit but all will accommodate those who are not yet as fit as they'd like, all for a very reasonable fee per 6-8 week session.
