Absolutely beautiful Castle in Victoria! There’s little to no castles anywhere else in BC. The ornate designs and sheer size of this place is truly breathtaking! Staff are quite nice, and the gift shop has a pretty amazing selection of stuff! Overall great spot to check out whether you’re a local or a tourist in Victoria if you haven’t gone before!

Of course fans of historic mansions already have it on their bucket list, but it’s more than just a beautiful showpiece. The current interpretation includes the full story of its time as a military hospital and a school, providing a glimpse into multiple aspects of Victoria’s history. There is also an excellent gift shop with an array of local art and literature.

This castle transports you to how people lived in the late 19th century, almost 130 years ago. The estate is very well preserved and includes an amazing collection of artifacts, including furniture, tools and clothing items. This is a definite destination for a fun family activity that's informative and highly educational.
