I have now stayed here for work for 21 nights across 5 months, so I now feel well-informed to review. The stays have been enjoyable, and although this property currently experiences slight discrepancies in rooms, this hotel is undergoing refurbishment, so I will base my review on their newest rooms, since they are being rolled out.
The front of house/lobby area is lovely, and feels welcoming, with and infused water station. There is also a gym, pool and spa open for both hotel guests which looks well equipped and well maintained. They have ultrasonic scent systems for a hotel-fresh feel.
The refurbished rooms feel sparkling. The new soft furnishings are modern and minimalist. The lighting in the room is great, and features warm and dim lighting for night time reading/relaxing.
There are also robes and slippers, a really easy win for upscale hotels, which many don’t offer, so I’m impressed.
Upon check-in, housekeeping do an excellent job turning rooms around, however occasionally seem to be rushed during their daily service. Unfortunately, sometimes mugs/glasses/bins have missed being changed, but I will overlook that as the staff are friendly and you can tell they are committed to providing guests a pleasant stay.
The hotel breakfasts have been mostly successful and provide a very comprehensive spread of morning goods. When the hotel is quieter, they are trialling a cook-to-order system whilst the restaurant is being refurbed, which does improve the quality of the food, but slows service somewhat, but not a real issue, just something to leave extra few minutes for.
Overall, the front of house/front desk staff are friendly, with a shoutout to Rav, who has brought water up to my room, as well as the FOH manager , who very kindly upgraded my room when we were chatting at check-in.
The car park is big and plenty of spaces, and best of all, free for hotel guests.
A huge thank you to the FOH team for several enjoyable stays at a home away from home!
